Hemet Unified School District’s middle schools are having their sports tryouts. If your student is interested in joining flag football, girls volleyball, cross country or cheer, you are encouraged to speak with Darren McKay, Idyllwild School athletic director.

Coaches and principals are excited for the new season. Staff believes that having an athletic program in middle school helps with student involvement and gives students a sense of responsibility. Athletes are expected to keep their grades up and sign a behavior contract in order to participate in their school’s athletic program.

Some school tryouts are already underway. If your student is interested in trying out for a team, contact Mr. McKay. There is limited space so sign up now.
