Idyllwild residents James Walter Larkin II and Rachel Corinne Welch are proud to announce the birth of their son, Jasper James Larkin, born at 7:47 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta.
Jasper weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces at birth and was 20- 1/4 inches long.
His mother, Rachel, is a Visual Arts instructor at Idyllwild Arts Academy and works at Cafe Aroma. His father, James, is a speech therapist at the Coachella Valley Unified School District.
Jasper is lovingly welcomed by his big sister Opal Leigh, and extended family — maternal grandparents Alison and Steve Wieman of Temecula and Alan and Garnette Welch of Julian; paternal grandparents Jim and Letitia Larkin of Stockton; great-grandma Louella Tune of Escalon; aunts and uncles Zakk Welch and Bre Felix of El Cajon, Amy and Chris Lopes of Hilmar, Andrea and David Payne of Livermore, and Steven and Jhenna Wieman and Travis Wieman of Temecula; and cousins Stephen Lopes, Joshua Lopes, Reagan Payne and Lauren Payne.
