Three vehicles overturned under similar circumstances and one two car-collision with injuries occurred during the last week on Hill highways.

At 2:15 am. Wednesday, March 30, Tom Jimenez, 19, of La Quinta, was driving his 2009 Toyota Camry east on Highway 74 just west of Santa Rosa Truck Trail when he made an unsafe turning movement, causing his vehicle to overturn. Jimenez was not injured in the crash and no other vehicle was involved.

At 2:10 p.m. Friday, April 1, Terease Rocha, 27, of Anza, was driving her 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer south on Highway 243 north of Round Robin Drive when her vehicle collided with a 2006 Hummer H2 driven by Michael Yang, 66, of Diamond Bar. Yang had been driving north at the time. The California Highway Patrol report did not yet detail how the collision occurred or who was at fault. Rocha suffered moderate injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley.

At 8:15 p.m. Friday, April 1, Joseph Doyle, 43, of Indian Wells, was driving his 2004 Acura MDX westbound on Highway 74 two-tenths of a mile from Scenic Drive when he made an unsafe turning movement that caused his vehicle to collide with a dirt embankment and overturn. Doyle was not injured in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.

At 2:50 p.m. Sunday, April 3, Ronald Balgi, 63, of Idyllwild, was driving his 2002 Ford F 150 truck westbound on Highway 74 just west of the Old Control Road when he turned off the road and struck an embankment that caused his vehicle to overturn. Balgi was not injured in the crash and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
