Brendan Steele plays this week in the $9.75 million World Golf Championships — Bridgestone Invitational on the Firestone Country Club South course in Akron, Ohio.

The Idyllwild native goes into this tournament 15th on the FedExCup points list and 54th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Brendan tees off Thursday at 4:30 a.m. PDT and Friday at 5:30 a.m. PDT. He will play with Russell Knox, of Scottland, and Lee Westwood, of England, both days.
