Beginning Oct. 26, the Town Crier will
print a special serial story for our readers to enjoy. The story is based on Opal Fleming and how she was taken to the deaf school in the 1930s by her father.
Soon after her arrival at the deaf school, Pa was gone and she discovered that everyone there communicated with a secret code. Opal was determined to figure out that secret code and one day surprise them all ... and surprise them she did. She will surprise you, too!
You will not want to miss any of the nine installments. It will delight both young and old. Educators will find the free supplemental material provided by the author fun and useful in their classrooms.
I have read books by Janie Lancaster and I know the readers will not be disappointed. I am so happy the Idyllwild Town Crier is sharing this special serial story for the readers to enjoy.
