Shirley Marie Severtson, 91, of Eustis, Florida, received her angel wings Sunday, April 29, 2018. 

She was born Aug. 17, 1926, to Walter and Camilla O. Andersen in Austin, Minnesota. She graduated from Austin High School with honors. Shirley graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 1946 and was a secretary for many years.

She married Irving T. Severtson in 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In 1971, they moved to Idyllwild and were owners of a gift shop there for 25 years. In 1999, they moved to Cathedral City after retiring.

Mrs. Severtson was preceded in death by her husband, Irving, her parents, her two sisters, a niece and a nephew.

She is survived by numerous nephews, nieces and their children.

Shirley was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Palm Desert, and Sons of Norway. Entombment will be at Lakewood Mausoleum in Minneapolis. The family wishes memorials be made to the donor’s choice.
