Riverside County has just issued a voluntary evacuation order for Hurkey Creek, Lake Hemet, Apple Canyon and Fleming Ranch, due to potential flooding from anticipated rain.

A reception and care shelter has been set up at Idyllwild School.

"We anticipate that there will be road closures this afternoon and into tonight but there is no specific time set to either begin or end closures. When we do initiate a closure in conjunction with a mandatory evacuation order that will be announced via AlertRivco and will be picked up by the various cooperating agencies," said Jerry D. Hagen, Riverside County emergency services coordinator for District 3.
