Brendan Steele got things going on the right track at The CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges in South Korea last week, posting a 9-under-par 74-71-65-69 — 279 to tie for 14th place.

The native Idyllwilder’s driving accuracy was 85 percent, and he hit 83 percent of the greens in regulation, needing 1.8 putts per green. He collected an eagle and 19 birdies against 8 bogies and 2 doubles, and he moved up two notches in the Official World Golf Ranking, from 98th to 96th.

Brendan is next expected to play Nov. 15 to 18 in the Emirates Australian Open Championship at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney.
