Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF pets heard Tex’s frustration, still looking for a forever family.
George

Sadie: Guess I’m in charge for the time being, so listen up.
Mr. Gray: We’re all here.
Sadie: Tex found her forever family!! And she knows them well. Her foster family decided to adopt her, and the ARF humans are crying tears of joy.
Mr. Gray: Now that is some of the best news I’ve heard in a very long time.
Heavenly Whiskers: So that leaves us cats, yes?
Pepper: Right. I think it is our time to move on from ARF.
Sadie: I’m ready! Really, I’ve become so friendly and affectionate. I can just imagine the right, loving, caring human falling in love with me and taking me home.
George: That is a nice dream. Remember, I was adopted once and part of a family for quite a while. It was magnificent.
Sadie: I bet it was. Remind me why you are back at ARF.
George: My guardian had to move in with someone else, and I wasn’t allowed to go with her. I really, really loved her, and she really loved me.
Pepper: Oh, George, I’m so sorry. This must be so difficult for you.
Mr. Gray: But I love having George back here. We are best buddies, you know?
George: We are, Mr. Gray, and I love playing with you, but nothing beats having a forever family.
Mr. Gray: You’re right. Hey! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if someone adopted us together?
Heavenly Whiskers: It would! And I heard the ARF humans say that if someone adopted you both together, the adoption fee would be a discounted twofer. Now that is a great deal!
Mr. Gray: Especially for us!
Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.
