Daisy

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats learned that Sox was already adopted.
Zeus: Did any of you hear how the ARF yard sale went?
Sadie: I heard it was pretty darned good, especially because three of the five kittens were adopted!
Mr. Gray: Didn’t they just get here?
Heavenly Whiskers: Yep. They came in on Friday, and by Sunday night, there were only two.
Sadie: Humans who want a kitten right now better act quickly or they’ll have to wait until the other litter is ready for adoption in a few weeks.
Pepper: In other news, ARF now has a really cool dog.
Zeus: Oh yea! I nearly forgot. Her name is Daisy, and here she comes now.
Daisy: Good morning! Yes, I’m Daisy, and all of you stay right here because I really like cats.
Zeus: So good to meet you, Daisy. Do you also like dogs?
Daisy: I do! I like dogs of all sizes, and I really, really like to play. I overheard my foster telling the ARF humans that I am so tolerant of other dogs and their antics. I also love humans … all humans.
Zeus: You’re a good size for a family, I think.
Daisy: True! Being a lab mix, I’m about 60 pounds. I’m also house trained, crate trained, and very happy to be indoors. As a matter of fact, I have been known to sleep on the foot of my human’s bed.
Thomas: I am so happy you like cats. That will make you even more desirable as a member of a family.
Daisy: Any idea how long before I’m adopted?
Sadie: Hopefully it will be very soon, for all of us.
Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. Please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Highway 243 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays, or by appointment Monday-Friday by calling 951-659-1122.
Creature Corner is sponsored by Carole Herman & Sandi Mathers.
