Before moving off the Hill, volunteer MDP board member and Co-Chair Medical Director Dr. Dick Goldberg contacted ICC in May 2022 about emergency preparedness needs ICC might have. ICC, which manages and operates both Town Hall and Butterfield Amphitheater, indicated it would like to have AED units in both locations, but had not yet raised the funds needed to purchase the units, which in total is in excess of $5,000.
MDP’s board voted to provide the two units to ICC, which have finally arrived. The first unit is installed in the main room of Town Hall; the second unit will be installed at Butterfield Amphitheater once the weather warms and the facility is reopened for the concert season, scheduled to begin May 28, the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.
