Steele to play in WM Phoenix Open

Brendan Steele will play this week in the $8.2 million WM Phoenix Open on the TPC Scottsdale course in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tournament has raised many millions for local charities over its decades of existence.

The native Idyllwilder has played this tournament every year since joining the PGA Tour in 2011, collecting six top-20s including four top-10s. His best finish was a tie for third in 2018 and he’s missed the cut only twice in 11 appearances.

Brendan now stands 38th on the PGA Tour’s FedExCup list and is 122nd on the Official World Golf Ranking.

Brendan will tee off Thursday at 6:15 a.m. PT and Friday at 10:40 a.m. PT, playing with Henrik Norlander and Matthew NeSmith both days.

The WM Phoenix Open will be telecast all four days on the Golf Channel, with CBS also covering it on the weekend. Follow Brendan on the pgatour.com website or with the PGA Tour cellphone app.
