Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats and kittens welcomed new ARF dog Paul.

Harley: I hope you’re all here. I have asked Paul to tell us all what kind of human he hopes to adopt.

Phil: That sounds great.

Paul: Thank you Harley. Let me tell you about the person I hope to adopt soon. This person should want a quiet, laid-back dog, one she or he would like to cuddle with on a sofa. Walks are fine.

Rosy: And watch TV?

Paul: But of course! I don’t mind if this person has a cat or another dog. I like them both.

Phil: Does this person need to be skilled at detecting when you need to go outside to do your business?

Paul: No need to be skilled at detection as I am house trained and will let him or her know.

Lilac: You sound like the perfect companion for a retired person who wants company…and loyalty.

Katnis: I hope you are lucky at finding the right person. You are such a great dog.

Paul: I heard a rumor of more kittens here at ARF.

Don: That is correct. In addition to the two kittens we already have, Carrie and Rosie, we have four more.

Paul: I’d like to meet them.

Starlight: (followed by three other kittens) Hello! I’m Starlight, my brother Delight, and my two sisters Twilight and Moonbeam.

Don: Oh my gosh! You kittens are adorable.

Moonbeam: And we are ready to go into forever homes.

Don: Are you ready to meet people who are ready to meet you?

Twilight: We are!

Phil: Hopefully they’ll stop by on the weekend or call to make an appointment for weekdays.

Paul: I hope many call about meeting me!

Katnis: We are all hopeful for all of us.
