Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats and kittens celebrated Adopt a Shelter Dog month.

Harley: How do we get serious about getting our kittens adopted, not to mention ourselves?

Pepper: Good question. It seems that we have done quite a bit.

Phil: Clearly, not enough as Carrie, Rosy and Delight are still here.

Don: Unbelievable! These youngsters are so darned cute.

Rosy: You’re right, Don. Look at me! Look at Carrie! And look at Delight!

Phil: You three are just precious.

Delight: People come in and fawn all over me.

Harley: Understood, but why then are you still here?

Delight: I wonder the same.

Pepper: I hope humans understand that this winter, when it is cold and snowy, they will be so glad they have us.

Delight: I promise to keep my forever family members very warm and happy.

Harley: Heck, any of us would.

Pepper: I’ve watched Carrie and Rosy just snuggle up to visitors and ARF volunteers.

Rosy: We have become very, very good at snuggling!

Phil: And people who don’t necessarily want a cat in their laps will love those of us who are affectionate and loving, but not really lap cats.

Rosy: Those non lap cats can still keep people happy and warm!

Carrie: Heck yeah they can!

Delight: And all cats and kittens are entertaining, especially if there are two of us.

Smokey: Running after yarn, batting toys and wrestling with each other are very entertaining.

Rosy: Or just being content to stare at our beauty!

Don: Let’s just hope some loving folk come in soon to meet us. Odds are they will be swept away by at least one of us!

Phil: Or all of us!
