Mr. Gray

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats and dogs welcomed new dog Murphy.

Mr. Gray: Little Girl, is it true we are celebrating dog adoptions?

Little Girl: It’s true! Cal and Teddy found their forever homes this last weekend. ARF humans held an adoption event at Mountain Paws.

Murphy

Murphy: That’s awesome! Why wasn’t I there?

Little Girl

Little Girl: Murphy, you still need to visit the vet and get spayed, but you’re the next dog to find a forever family.

Mr. Gray: I notice Anabel is still gone.  I guess her adoption was a success.

Little Girl: Yes, and I’m so happy for her.

Heavenly Whiskers: I think we need to focus on us cats for a while.

Little Girl: Let’s do that! I think humans need to know that many of us need to be given the chance to feel comfortable with new visitors.

Heavenly Whiskers

Mr. Gray: That’s the bottom line.  I know I am very loving once I can trust a human.

Indigo: Speak for yourself, Gray. I warm up to loving humans almost immediately.

Little Girl: And I absolutely love anyone who will give me attention. I want attention all the time, along with a home to call my own (meaning no other cats and no dogs!).

Indigo: My fellow ARF felines would be so happy to have patient, understanding human visitors.

Little Girl: So this is a shout-out to all humans! Stop by on the weekend to pay us a visit. Plan to relax in a comfy chair, put your feet up and let us get to know you.

Indigo: They will be pleasantly surprised if they just give us a chance.

Heavenly Whiskers: And have a laser light in their hands!

Mr. Gray: Ha! We would love that!

Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.

Leonardo is almost 2 years old. Always open to new friendships, Leonardo will bravely welcome any four-legged that walks through the door — be it canine, or feline. He knows no enemies, as he makes sure all the new orphans at ARF are accepted and safe. A sleek short haired grey, Leonardo, along with his siblings, lost his mom shortly after birth. One by one, his brothers were all adopted. He chose to pass it on, as Mr. Mom to Dawn and Dusk, who also lost their mom and were living under a house. Leonard is a one of a kind furry friend who is at his best consoling and loving other cats and dogs.
