Opening week was so chock-full of nail-biting matches that the majority of them went into fifth-game tie-breakers. Week two, not so much, as we are starting to see which teams are emerging as the dominant forces on the court.

Idyllwild Garage won both their matches this week against Red Kettle and Forest Lumber, bringing them to a 3-0 record. Village Hardware did the same as they were victorious over Forest Lumber and Idyllwild Brewpub, bringing their record to a 3-0 start.
Although both undefeated teams have reasons to celebrate this week, the candles will be blown out early for one of them as they will face each other next Tuesday. Who will remain undefeated and who will have their first taste of defeat? Tune-in next week.

Adult Basketball
The court was rumbling at the Idyllwild School Gym last Wednesday as the first series of 4-on-4 adult basketball games commenced. The energy level was high as the five teams were ready for battle.
Captain Mabery led Team Grey to its first victories of the season triumphing over Team Blue (led by Captain Smith) and Team Black (led by Captain Posey).
Team White (led by Captain Beagle) barely lost its first game to Team Black but turned things around as it defeated Team Red (lead by Captain Nunn) in the second game.
Each team will have its chance to shine again next week as the second series of games will continue. This was a great start to what is foreseen to be a very competitive season.
