Quiet Creek Gallery hosted the ICRC speaker series on Wednesday night with artist and guest speaker Rich Stergulz. The freelance artist shared his technique, especially with regards to portraiture. As he painted, he answered questions from the audience and demonstrated how he looks for the way light falls upon the face and the importance of half tones for depth and shape giving the illusion of 3D.
Band performs Aug. 31 at Butterfield Amphitheater “This is our passion,” said John King of the band Change Required as he opened his interview with the Town Crier. The local band formed in Idyllwild 18 years ago and is renting out the Butterfield Amphitheater for a two-hour, non-stop performance from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 31….
Idyllwild Arts has sadly just announced that guitarist Jeff Peterson had to cancel his concert, scheduled for tonight, Jan. 23. “Mr. Peterson is unable to travel due to health reasons,” said Darren Schilling, the school’s Director of Marketing. Peterson lives in Hawaii.
