

Playground sign dedicated

Saturday morning members of the Idyllwild Art Alliance, the Idyllwild Community Recreation Council and artist Dore Capitani (center back row) came together for the dedication of the his sign for the recently built playground. Local metal sculptor Dore Capitani created the sign out of cut metal with powder coating color and the Idyllwild Art Alliance donated it. The Hemet Unified School District directors appointed Barry Kayrell as its next District superintendent. The vote was unanimous 7-0. Kayrell is currently the superintendent of Beaumont Unified School District, but will start at Hemet on Oct. 1. His starting salary will be $205,000 annually.
