At 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, a California Highway Patrol officer, who was eating lunch at Mountain Center Cafe, walked out to the parking lot to find that his patrol vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, had a dent in the right rear quarter panel, according to California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Darren Meyer.
No one was in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
When the officer came out from the restaurant to his patrol vehicle, it looked as though someone had backed into it. Because no one left a note, the officer asked everyone around if they had seen anything, but no one did.
If you have any information as to what happened, please call the California Highway Patrol at 951-769-2000.
