Glad no one perished.
I drive a Sequoia, high clearance, and I am often tailgated on 243 by speed racers. I go the speed limit +5 miles per hour. I always pull over to the side and let them pass, as soon as I have 1 car waiting.
Car people, please understand that when a high clearance truck takes a sharp corner at your sedan speed, the truck will roll-over. It's not that I don't like to speed, but I am pushing the limit of safety. So kindly allow me the space to pull over then you can pass me, instead of tailing.
When you tail too close, I cannot safely slow down to stop on the road side.
