Brendan Steele, Idyllwild, had an up and down day in steady drizzle-rain Friday at Torrey Pines, turning in a one over par 73 for his round on the tough South Course. He currently stands at four under par and a tie for 31st place.

Steele collected three birdies Friday, including back-to-back Birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes to start off his back nine, but had four bogeys, including back-to-backs on the 13th and 14th holes. A few times he got in trouble with an errant shot, but stayed focused to save bogey or even par.

Steele is one of the best third-round players on the PGA Tour, so look for a good round from him today.

Today, Steele tees off at 7:50 today, Saturday, on the 1st tee South.

Becasue of fog along the coast line, the Farmers Insurance Open has been delayed at least two hours, as of 9 a.m., Saturday morning.
