Opinion: Lil’ Bruisers graduate

Does anyone remember the Lil’ Bruisers?

Back in 1997, I returned to the U.S. and Idyllwild from Vienna, Austria, with my 2-year-old daughter Bethany. There was an ad in the Town Crier for a (toddler) playgroup.

The amazing thing about this group was that they were all kids born between February and September 1995; 12 toddlers all my daughter’s age.

This group of parents met every month. Our kids played together, we celebrated birthdays, we went to a play, picked apples, went to Sea World, a museum, were visited by Santa and were in the Fourth of July parade.

Now these kids are graduating and Bethany is one of them.

I send my congratulations to them and wishes that their dreams come true but most of all that they are happy.

Congratulations, class of 2013.
