Robert Frank Caldon, 76, of Beaumont, died of congestive heart failure on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Beaumont Convalescent Hospital.

Mr. Caldon was born June 1, 1925, in Inglewood. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1944 to June 1947.

He was an insurance salesman for 40 years, 20 of those at Harford Funeral Home in Hemet.

Mr. Caldon was a former resident of Idyllwild for 16 years and a former resident of Hemet for 20 years. He had lived in Beaumont for three years prior to his death.

A chapel service was held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 8 at Harford Funeral Home Chapel in Hemet. Burial followed at 2:15 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at Harford Funeral Home Chapel.

He is survived by four sons, Robert Caldon of Long Beach, Bill and Rob Caldon of Idyllwild, and Dan Caldon of San Luis Obispo; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
