Q. Every wash day I have to spend time emptying my husband’s pants pockets. He keeps stuffing his left hip pocket with bits of paper — receipts, ticket stubs, etc. Do you do this?  -Shirley, Palm Desert

A. No, I do not. I stuff bits of paper in my right hip pocket. My left hip pocket gets stuffed with bits of string. But tell him to do his own laundry. That way he can stuff his bits of paper and string in whatever pockets he wants, and you won’t be telling him about it anymore. 

Q. How long should bangs be?   -Amanda, Hemet

A. No longer than the bottom of your upper lip. Otherwise, they can become confused with some foods, especially shredded wheat.
