The Idyllwild’s Nature Center Junior Naturalist program for youngsters held Saturday, Aug.6 was titled “The Nose Knows: When a scent is worth a thousand words.” Under the supervision of center staffer Jyoti Kintz and the youngsters’ grandmother, Diane Johnson (not shown), three Junior Naturalists learn how to handle a small boa.
The Idyllwild Assembly of God Church conducted its first service as an Idyllwild congregation on Sunday, Jan. 10. According to Pastor Mark Garrett, 38 people attended. “The next Sunday, Jan. 17, attendance had grown to 44 people,” said Garrett.
