Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats visited with the ARF canines.

Little Girl: Some good news. Al found his forever home. So now we have Taz and Winter.

Pepper: Good news, so let’s focus on the felines today, OK?

Little Girl: Great idea. The new kittens are so very adorable, and Sedona is such a good mommy.

Mr. Gray

Sadie: I bet those kittens will be adopted very quickly.  They always are.

Mr. Gray: But not every human wants a kitten. You know, we adult cats are great family members, too.

Little Girl: You bet we are! I would be perfect as the only animal in the house. Just give me a warm lap and some love, and I’ll be the very best companion.

Heavenly Whiskers: You know, any one of us would be a great companion.  We just want to meet and know the human before we sign up to be part of the family.

Heavenly Whiskers

Little Girl: True. Some of you require a little more time to feel comfortable with strangers.

Indigo

Mr. Gray: But once I know the human, I am such a great friend.

Little Girl: Sedona, the mama kitten, is so very friendly. And she is young!

Mr. Gray: Wow, such a young mommy.

Little Girl: Well, once the kittens are independent, she will be spayed. We don’t need this to happen again!

Heavenly Whiskers: Yeah, there are enough cats looking for homes.

Sadie

Little Girl: Right. Take a look around the ARF cattery!

Indigo: And as soon as each of us finds a forever family, ARF can rescue more cats looking for homes.

Little Girl: One cat out, another cat in. It’s a good deal. Now let’s get adopted!

Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.

Creature Corner is sponsored by Carole Herman & Sandi Mathers.
