Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats and dog Tex talked about the new cat, Mitzy.

Panther: Sad to tell you all that I have no adoption news this week.

Tex: Oh, darn it! Well, I am nice and warm at my foster’s house. Check out the new photo

of me on my comfy bed.

Panther: And we cats are so comfy here in the ARF House.

Tinkerbell: This is true, Panther, but I’d rather be with a forever family, you know, with someone to play with me.

Mr. Gray: You are so playful Tinkerbell, but I guess most kittens at 6 months are.

Tinkerbell: And I’ve been told I’m very pretty.

Tex: Yes, you’re pretty. Your silky black hair is very nice.

Mr. Gray: Tinkerbell is our fourth tuxedo cat here at ARF.

Pepper: That’s right! There are Carly, Sadie, Tinkerbell and me.

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell: We tuxedo cats are pretty stunning.

Sadie: And always dressed for a good time!

Pepper: A good time for me would be waking up each day in my forever home.

Tex: That would be a good time for any one of us, I’m certain. Even better would be a jog, a hike or just a game of fetch, as far as I’m concerned.

Zeus: Or just a good, old-fashioned petting session.

Panther: Heck, yeah. Petting or brushing is what I dream about.

Tinkerbell: Chasing a piece of yarn! That’s what I want!

Indigo: Or lounging near a warm fireplace.  Ahhh …

Heavenly Whiskers

Bear: Just a quiet home would make me so very happy.

Heavenly Whiskers: A home to call our own.

Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.

  • Sitting by the Fire: Change happens and will …

Most people don’t like change. The old saying is, “the only things that are certain in life are death and taxes.” Well, some people beat the government out of their taxes and it has been said that one has beaten death, but it is absolutely true that we all face change almost everyday of our lives. Change is truly the only thing that is certain. Now I would like to change the topic that I had planned to write about because what I have to say is too important to miss.
