New Sadie

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats adjusted to New Sadie taking the spot of office cat.

New Sadie: Great news everyone! All the puppies in the litter have been adopted.

Bernard: But not I.

Pepper: That’s OK, Bernard. You are so sweet, low-energy and loving, you’ll soon find your forever home.

New Sadie: Pepper is right! Hope my forever family finds me pronto.

George

Tex: And don’t forget about me! I’m still hanging in, waiting for my forever family. I want one where I’m the only pet, kids would be great, and a yard where I can run and fetch balls.

New Sadie: It seems we all want the same thing, including George.

Zeus: George? Who is George?

George: I am! Don’t you remember me? I was here for quite a while, then I was adopted. But sadly, my forever mom cannot be forever. I’m so sad, but happy to see my old friends.

Mr. Gray: Welcome back, George. I see you’re still that beautiful orange color. You are just as handsome as ever.

Bernard: And he is kinda big.

New Sadie: Well, so am I.

Bear: And Zeus and I. We are all big cats.

Sadie: There is a cat for every kind of home, here at ARF.

New Sadie: So true! It’s one-stop “shopping”!

Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of Our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243 on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.

Creature Corner is sponsored by Carole Herman & Sandi Mathers.

Readers Write: Group is a sham

Editor: This watershed group is a sham. They masquerade as environmentalists. They have no intent to define a scope or define measurable outcomes other than consolidation as if that leads to good watershed management because they were recruited. Outrageous. I’m for good watershed management and production of safe, reliable drinking water. That’s not Idyllwild Water…
