Patricia Stastny, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 20 at her daughter’s home in La Quinta, California.
She was born Aug. 10, 1934 to Irene and Forrest White in Nevada, Missouri. She married Robert Stastny on Feb. 15, 1957 and settled in Idyllwild in 1969 where they became part of a community they truly loved.
Pat enjoyed a long career in the banking industry and most recently at the Restaurant Gastrognome.
Pat and Bob immensely enjoyed traveling and made many memories on their adventures. She became well known for her beautiful crocheted blankets which she often gave as gifts to friends and loved ones.
She cherished her treasure trove of books, her many plants and her rescue dog Nikki, who became the luckiest and most spoiled terrier in Idyllwild on her adoption day.
Pat was a proud mother and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her only child Cheryl L. Zornes of La Quinta, her grandchildren Shaina L. Erhardt (Anthony) and Jared M. Zornes (Michelle) and her great-grandchildren Ivy Erhardt, Lance Zornes and Ethan Zornes.
Pat will be laid to rest with her husband at the Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of services, please keep her in your thoughts and toast her memory so that we may send her on her way with happiness and peace.
