One collision on Highway 74
One collision occurred on Highway 74, according to California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Matt Napier.
On Oct. 7 at 3:20 p.m., Lowell Gassman, 46 of Idyllwild, was driving his white 2012 Dodge Ram westbound on Highway 74 between 45 and 55 mph west of Apple Canyon Road when he entered a left-hand curve.
For unknown reasons, Gassman drifted off the right-hand side of the roadway colliding with a large boulder.
After the collision, the Ram came to a rest blocking the westbound lane. Gassman was uninjured and his vehicle was towed by Idyllwild Garage.
