To all our readers:

By Jack & Becky Clark
Co-publishers

The Town Crier has been significantly impacted by the COVID epidemic. Like almost all newspapers, we have experienced a serious decline in revenues from advertising during these hard times.
So, we must rely to an ever-greater extent on our readers — both for the moral force to continue providing local journalism during these times and for the monetary strength to enable that reporting. Our community deserves fact-based local news and analysis.
As the Town Crier’s owners-publishers, we take no money out of the Town Crier or its parent company Idyllwild House Publishing Co. Ltd. — no salaries, wages, bonuses or dividends. No personal expenses are charged to Idyllwild House Publishing Co. Ltd. or the Town Crier.
Also, the Town Crier has not received any capital infusions from us during the past five years because it is imperative that the newspaper be shown to capably stand on its own, so it can appeal to new owners who will carry it on once we retire.
So, as its business model comes under ever-greater pressure, the Town Crier needs your help to continue its community-essential work. Please consider a Town Crier Membership, and renewing at a level you can afford, to support the Town Crier’s local journalism and keep it serving our community.
Thank you all for your continued confidence and support.
