

World Book Night reaches Idyllwild

Millions of free books were hand-delivered to unsuspecting individuals on Monday, April 23, around the U.S., U.K. and Ireland as part of World Book Night 2012 — “Spreading the love of reading, person to person” — including in Idyllwild. These happy Café Aroma customers were visited by “Book Fairies,” representing INK Book Gathering in Idyllwild, who gave them a few titles from a list of 30. Wednesday, March 28, the Chairs for Charity fundraiser kicks-off at Middle Ridge Winery Tasting Gallery to benefit the Associates of Idyllwild Arts Foundation’s scholarship fund. The Idyllwild Arts Academy Visual Arts Department Class of 2021 painted a family of deer with the buck “Camouflage,” a doe “Tribute” and a fawn “Diversions.” These will be installed on the Idyllwild Arts Academy campus.
