With 70 felony property crimes reported from Jan. 1 through Aug. 11 this year in Idyllwild and Pine Cove, concerned residents are rapidly convening to form Neighborhood Watch groups.

Playground sign dedicated
Saturday morning members of the Idyllwild Art Alliance, the Idyllwild Community Recreation Council and artist Dore Capitani (center back row) came together for the dedication of the his sign for the recently built playground. Local metal sculptor Dore Capitani created the sign out of cut metal with powder coating color and the Idyllwild Art Alliance donated it.
