A friend of mine said to me recently that I don’t have a dog to run in this race anymore and that may be true, though I expect my family will participate in recreation in this community for years to come.
As a former editor of this newspaper, I had a lot of insight into the Idyllwild Community Recreation Council and its players over the years. For what it’s worth, I don’t believe John Simpson’s involvement in ICRC was to benefit his lodging business. I never observed anything indicating that and I think that accusation is unfounded.
