Happy New Year from all of our ARF canines and felines to all of the four leggeds in our community. Paws up to Bonnie, the beagle/Dalmatian mix, who made a brief appearance at ARF only to be scooped up and carried away to her forever home.

Sadly, we say goodbye to Purdy, a female golden retriever, who will always be in our hearts.

Lulu
And Lulu is back! A young lab/shep mix, she is good on the leash, learns commands quickly, and likes the canine crowd. Lulu prefers not to share her kingdom with felines. She was abandoned by her owner and is certain that another energetic, Frisbee throwing family will walk thru our doors and say “Let’s go home, Lulu.”

Sweetpea
Sweetpea is an adult female Maine coon mix. Currently the ARF Diva, she loves a soft caress.

Always generous with her love for humans, Sweetpea wishes that you only have eyes for her. Come to ARF and fall in love.

Twiggy
Could you be looking for me? Twiggy is a female adult grey tabby, declawed and looking for you! She lost her loving human, and waits patiently for that special someone to take her home. Twiggy prefers her own castle, or to share one with another declawed feline.

Girl Scout kitties
And our furry “girl scout” kitties will bring giggles and warmth to your heart. Under mama Sky’s watchful eye, she has ensured they are lovable, playful, and ready for adoption. Only four left, so hurry in before they disappear.

ARF has many cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.idyllwildarf.org and click on Petfinder. All pets are spayed, neutered, and current on shots. ARF is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call for appointment on any other day at (951)659-1122. Santa is checking his list of animal shelter babies, and he knows who is nice. They all are! Freya, now known as Freda went on a sleepover and never returned. Well, just to visit. She now sports her Christmas harness, and is the love of her human’s life. Guido is now Alfie, and quickly learned the way to melt his human’s hearts. Paws up Alfie. Merry Christmas from ARF to both.

Leonardo is almost 2 years old. Always open to new friendships, Leonardo will bravely welcome any four-legged that walks through the door — be it canine, or feline. He knows no enemies, as he makes sure all the new orphans at ARF are accepted and safe. A sleek short haired grey, Leonardo, along with his siblings, lost his mom shortly after birth. One by one, his brothers were all adopted. He chose to pass it on, as Mr. Mom to Dawn and Dusk, who also lost their mom and were living under a house. Leonard is a one of a kind furry friend who is at his best consoling and loving other cats and dogs.

Paws up to our min/pin mix Frankie for snuggling his way right into the hearts of his forever humans. Good job Frankie! Found: An adult, medium-size, mixed breed dog, corgi red in color, on South Circle and Scenic. Call ARF to identify. Also found was a tabby kitten in a cat carrier by the dumpster behind The Fort. If you have any information regarding this unforgiveable abandonment, please call ARF at 659-1122.
