Four paws up for Emma, our Aussie mix. Her smile says it all, as she enjoys her forever home and her new pack. Paws up to the human angel too for saving her.
LuckyLucky was tied to a post, matted beyond belief, with some kibbles thrown on the ground. He is a young male dachsund, Shih Tzu mix with the softest fur. He will make the perfect small indoor pet, as his favorite thing to do is to sit in your lap and just be loved. Lucky is looking forward to his forever, loving home with you by his side.
MissySo you had a bad day? Keep that football out, even after Super Bowl. Come home to Missy, a young Aussie mix and you won’t remember the “ruff” day at the office. She’s always ready for a game of catch, whether it’s the football or Frisbee, or her favorite toy. Prefer the walk? She’s ready. Great on the leash, good with all canines and a little inquisitive about the feline crowd, this smart girl is quick to learn tricks, and commands. Potty training? Done. Stay? Done. Release? Done. Down? Well, we’re still working on that. If you have the energy, she will match it. When the day is done, well, she might just share the remote and the couch!
BlackjackBlackjack, our tuxedo teen, promises to keep you laughing in your new year with his daily antics. Dressed for the holiday, he has lately taken on the chores of Mr. Mom, watching over the five “Girl Scout” kitties. Who, by the way, have all gone to their “fur”-ever homes.

After spending several days lost and out in the cold, Nala, the pittie puppy, has been reunited with his very worried owners. Cinnamon, the chocolate Lab-mix, went for an overnight adventure as well, and now is safely home with her pack. And Hairy, the terrier had spring fever, frolicking in the streets without a care. Paws up to you all for being reunited …
Last week in Days of Our Nine Lives, ARF cats and dogs were celebrating “Adopt a Senior Pet” month. Bobbie: Everyone, gather around! I have news! Leia: Hold on, Bobbie. Let me get Tinkerbell and Pompeii. I don’t see them here. Bobbie: And I know why. That’s my news. Leia: Are you saying… Bobbie: I…
Found on the Ernie Maxwell Trail: an adult neutered male German shepherd with no chip, collar or tag. Well groomed. Yep, I’m Scrappy Doo. And it’s a good thing because a human abandoned me in the ARF yard one chilly day. So I had to learn really fast how to be a scrapper. I am…

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF cats discussed their fine, adoptable features. Panther: So, in addition to Violet’s being adopted, Jax and Zoey are celebrating their own! Zeus: What great news! So glad they were adopted together. And I’ve heard that ARF is getting a puppy in about a week. Panther:…
ARF had one wish for Santa: Please give just one dog a forever home. And we got our wish. Domino, our Lab mix, was left to die without food, water, or human contact for five days until an angel rescued and brought her to ARF. It was love at first sight, even through the window,…
