Town Crier learned that Tawny Crist, 71, of Banning, formerly of Idyllwild, died in a two-vehicle collision after her car drifted off the roadway, hit a tree, flipped and slid into an oncoming vehicle. Two people in the other car suffered minor injuries. The crash occurred near Lagunitas in Marin County, California, Friday evening.
On Saturday, July 7, Idyllwild resident and Idyllwid Arts faculty member Steve Hudson unexpectedly passed away. Among his many talents, such as teaching and lecturing about art history, Steve created a cartoon strip for the Town Crier.
