Congratulations to food-aware residents and visitors of small but mighty Idyllwild!

The Label GMOs campaign collected close to one million signatures, of which 803 were gathered in our town alone, from Californians who care what they eat.

All that effort was just to get the initiative onto the ballot in November. The next step is to vote “Yes.”

Since the biotech industry will launch a campaign of misinformation to defeat the ballot, we have to ask why.

If genetically altered crops are really so harmless, why not write it on the label, along with fat content, protein, etc?

Maybe they know that, as in Europe and China, consumers will not buy food that contains genetically modified organisms.

The biotech industry is not generously trying to feed a hungry world. The motive is money.
