It was so moving to attend the memorial service for Don Lenik at the Community Center site on Sunday.
I have to admit, not having known him for very many years, I was not aware of much of his history — his work as a printer, writer, union member, comittment to social justice, etc.
My strongest memory is of him being a great and happy dancer.
Hearing about his many talents and devotion to the community, and looking around at all gathered in his honor, I was touched by how he brought us together — especially meaningful to be at the Community Center site, coming to life before our very eyes, being built with the loving spirit of people like Don.
