Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on Town Hall Youth Soccer, which began its season the week of Oct. 15.

 

5 and Under Division
On Monday, Oct. 15, the Arriba’s Bobcats took on the American Legion Wolves. The Bobcats’ goalie Silas Tiso played great stopping many shots. The Wolves Joshua Stepien played great moving the ball down the field.

Monday’s second game was between the Idyllwild Professional Cleaning Service Ninja Strikers and the Rotary Raging Rivers. Blayke Gaceta hustled and kicked the ball all over the field for the Ninja Strikers. Jack Tate was the man for the Raging Rivers getting the ball down the field.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, the Arriba’s Bobcats met the Rotary Raging Rivers, whose Bailee Puala got in there with the boys and went after the ball playing great. The Bobcats Chloe Cochrane scored her first goal.

The other game Thursday was between the Idyllwild Professional Cleaning Service Ninja Strikers and the American Legion Wolves. Kylie Piche played great defense for the Wolves protecting the goal. The Ninja Strikers Christopher Cerritos had a great game getting the ball up the field.

8 and Under Division
On Monday, Oct. 15, the Pino Tree Service Kryptonite faced the Sacco Dining Idyl Beasts, whose Ethan Teeguarden played super defense all game protecting the goal for his team. The game ended scoreless as the Kryptonite’s Phoenix Bernal played great defense. The teams second straight 0-0 tie.

In Monday’sother game the La Casita Dragon Slayers met the Café Aroma Blizzards. Aiden Mclean played great defense for the Dragon Slayers. The Blizzards’ Pablo Orellana played super defense, but the Dragon Slayers won 3-0.

On Thursday, the Café Aroma Blizzards played the Pino Tree Service Kryptonite, who got off to a good start when Colby Sonnier scored a goal. The Blizzards played hard all game as An Lin Hunt was all over the field but the Kryptonite won 3-0.

Thursday’s second game was between the Sacco Dining Idyl Beasts and the La Casita Dragon Slayers, who also got off to a quick start when Reese Whitney scored a goal. The Idyl Beasts Lucy Tate played great defense in the second half but the Dragon Slayers won their second 3-0 game.

The playoffs begin on Thursday, Oct. 25 when the Dragon Slayers face the Idyl Beasts and the Kryptonite challenge the Blizzards.

11 and Under Division
On Tuesday, Oct 16, the Dr. Dunn and Dunn Oompa Loompas plalyed the Ninjas in a close all game. The Oompa Loompas Kilo Reynosa played great defense and scored a goal. The Ninjas played hard all game and goalie Nicole Cochrane stopped several tough shots, which helped the Ninjas win 3-2.

 

On Friday, the Dr. Dunn and Dunn Oompa Loompas took on the Ninjas again. This time the Oompa Loompas got an early goal from Chayton Kenyon and held the lead most of the game. With just seconds remaining, The Ninjas’ Elsie Fisher tapped in a loose ball that was in front of the Oompa Loompas goal. Her score knoted the game which ended tied 3-3.
