Happy holidays to all from ARF. We hope your holidays and the New Year will be full of love and treats for your furry four-leggeds.
New to the ARF house from Santa: Mama, a Chihuahua mix with four puppies about 4 weeks old, two females, two males.
Candy Cane, our Chihuahua mix, has found the best forever home for Christmas. Paws up to you Candy. Oreo our Boston terrier-Chhiuahua mix will surely miss your love as will all of us at ARF.
Dear Santa: My name is Oreo Cookie. My ears are listening for those sleigh bells that will take me to a home for Christmas. I am friendly with all other dogs, am a little curious about the feline crowd, and very friendly with the humans. I am young enough to play and love the adventure of a walk. The humans say I am part Boston terrier, part Chihuahua. I do tricks too! I can twirl and dance about especially when my food bowl is ready. My greatest wish, Santa, is for a loving forever warm home.
Baby Girl Faith has a special wish for Santa. Dear Santa: I was discarded in the dirt and left to die. I am alive today because someone made a change in their routine. They took me to a vet immediately, and then fostered me, nursed me back to health and socialized and loved me. Yes, I am available for adoption. But my wish is for more fosters to open their hearts and homes for the many ARF animals so they could be as lucky as I am. Please consider allowing a small space for us in your home. Thank you, Santa.
And the reindeer brought ARF a present. Living alone, with little or no human contact, Domino is a female Lab mix that reminds me of our Missy Lab mix. Bring a football, and I think you will have a friend for the Super Bowl. She is an A-plus student, as she is already learning basic commands. She is under 2 years old, friendly with other four-leggeds, cares less about the felines, and is all about playing.
ARF has many cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.arfidyllwild.weebly.com and click on Petfinder. All pets are spayed, neutered, and current on shots. ARF is open 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. Call (951) 659-1122 or email [email protected] for appointment on any other day.
Creature corner is sponsored this week by Brent Skean. To sponsor the column, call Shane Fender at the Town Crier, 659-2145.
