Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on Town Hall Adult volleyball for the week of Jan. 14.

The week’s games got started with a good one between the Idyllwild Garage and Idyllwild Inn. The game went back and forth as both teams played well throughout the match. Idyllwild Inn’s Jason Sonnier played great. He hustled and dove all over the court as they took a two games to one lead. The Garage battled back behind Art Torrez’s serving and sets for his teammates. They won the fourth game, forcing a fifth game to decide the match. The Inn took control early and won the game and the match (25-21, 14-25, 25-19, 22-25, and 15-9).

On Tuesday, Idyllwild Inn played a second game. Silver Pines Lodge was their next opponnet. Winning the first two games put Silver Pines in control of the match as Lance Fogle hit and served well. Idyllwild Inn won the third game behind Paula Shirley’s nice setting. Silver Pines won the next game and the match (25-22, 25-23, 13-25, and 25-17).

On Wednesday, Idyllwild Chevron faced Forest Lumber. Chevron got going early as Brennen Priefer played great at the net and served well. Forest Lumber’s Michelle Adler played great defense but it wasn’t enough. Chevron won the match in three games (25-15, 25-21, and 25-19).

On Thursday, Jan. 17, Forest Lumber its second game of week against the Red Kettle. After the Red Kettle took the first game, the match stayed close. Jeff Adams for Forest Lumber and Connie Chavez for the Red Kettle each played and set well for their teammates. Forest Lumber won the key points and the match in four games (15-25, 25-21, 28-26, and 25-22).
