Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on Town Hall Adult volleyball for the week of Jan 21.

On Monday, Jan. 21, Idyllwild Garage and Silver Pines Lodge played the week’s first match. Despite less than six starters, Idyllwild Garage played hard. Maria Loutzenhiser played a great match as the Garage took a two-games-to-one lead. Silver Pines’ Josh Leih played great as his team won the fourth game, forcing the fifth and deciding game. Silver Pines slowly took control and won the fifth game and the match (29-27, 19-25, 22-25, 25-18 and 15-10).

On Tuesday, Forest Lumber met Idyllwild Inn. Forest Lumber was also short of players. Idyllwild Inn used the advantage as they came out firing. Misti Hitchcock for Idyllwild Inn and Michelle Brower for Forest Lumber played great for their teams. The Inn had no troubles and won the match in three games (25-9, 25-9 and 25-18).

Wednesday’s match was between Idyllwild Garage and Idyllwild Chevron. Both teams played well during the first game, which set the tone for the match. Fred Espinoza played great for the Garage as they eked out the first game. Idyllwild Chevron came back to win the second game behind Tyla Friemoth’s hustle and great setting. The Garage won the next two highly competitive games and the match (26-24, 22-25, 25-22 and 25-19).
