Sometimes it’s not even in your plan. Call it fate or the way the wind blew, but at the end of the day, you welcome a new four-legged member into your family. And that’s just what happened with Oreo, our Chihuahua-mix. Now known as Ortega, this little chili pepper won the heart and soul of his forever human who simply was just visiting. Maybe it was showing off with his twirling act, or the fact that he reminded her so much of her Jack Russell, Tessa. But in the end, Oreo has a brand new life complete with new four-leggeds, blankies and children to play with. Paws up to you, little man.

And we have only one kitten left. Tyler II also went to a forever home and will be a snowbird (cat). Meow.

Tippycanoe seems to be a bit shy for the camera this week. Maybe Tippy thought she needed freshening up to look her best for her audience. No need to meow over spilled milk, Tippy. You are cute as a button. Last kitten of the year. Hurry in to ARF..

Sandy can often be found dancing on just two legs for treats or at mealtime. Such a gentle Chihuahua-mix, she was the perfect mom for her brood. She has her girly figure back, and is in search of a semi-quiet home. Sandy is good with other dogs, cats and people. She loves to walk on the leash, and is our sun goddess. She will follow the sun and simply lay in the warmth. Surely you have a piece of the sun you would share with her. Sandy is so lonely now without Oreo. She would love a human to love just her.

Bella, the Anatolian shepherd/Aussie-mix, and her sister Sophia are a two-for-one package. They absolutely love each other. Both are about 10 months old and eager to play and learn. Ready to be adopted, they are a bit shy but have no problem remembering how to do the tail wag. They are learning how to walk on the leash. What a great addition to your family.

ARF has many cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.arfidyllwild.weebly.com and click on Petfinder. All pets are spayed, neutered and current on shots. ARF is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
