Editor:
A heads up for our fire chief, Patrick Reitz.
Do you know how fortunate we are to have a man of his caliber working with us?
At a very recent accident I had at a dinner for the jazz festival volunteers, he did not leave me for a second until he must have known I would not go into shock.
He was professional, attentive and knowledgeable, along with his amazing crew, at “just doing their job,” as he said.

We now…

Well, if you’ve found those reports to be somewhat minimal, then here’s one report you can sink your teeth into.Sept. 3,…
A new mayor Dear Editor:Wouldn’t it be great if the next Mayor Max could be a rescue/shelter dog? What a great statement that would make to our community and to all of the people the mayor will greet — not just in Idyllwild but also in other towns and venues.I’m sure there is a nice…
Ordinance 927.1 Dear Supervisor Perez:I would like to point out the reasons that great urgency is required by you to insist that Idyllwild-Pine Cove receive the same treatment that was so strongly suggested by your counterpart Supervisor Washington regarding Temecula Valley during your last board meeting regarding changes to the 927.1 ordinance pertaining to short-term…
