Harley
H.D. – Harley Dog

His name is H.D. — Harley Dog. And this dog loves to ride. In the car, that is. High five is one of his faves, as is catching the ball or Frisbee®, or just some good ole laptime. Cause Harley thinks he is part Chihuahua. Such a good boy. Come to ARF and visit Harley but be sure to bring a bone. Burying bones is another of his favorite things to do. He’s ready to be in his forever home. We know he will find just the right human. Harley prefers to be the only canine.

Boomer gives a high five to the camera, loving attention as much as his mom. He is a young teen and continues to keep the cattery lively, playful and full of laughs. He is great with other felines, actually very inquisitive of the canine crowd, and loves to investigate any room other than the cattery.

All of the volunteers and the ARF four-leggeds wish the community of Idyllwild happy holidays. They are thankful for all you do. Thank you.

We have several cats who have already chosen their best fur buddy to be adopted with. Sadie and Carly (below), the tux identical twins, would love to be together forever. Pepper, a young black-and-white female, can often be seen cuddled closely with Tommy, our large gray tabby. Their favorite pastime is in the outdoor cattery keeping up with all creatures that fly.

    Creature Corner: August 13, 2020

Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF cats discussed the services offered by ARF to pet guardians. Whiskers: (creeping into the ARF office) Hello? Is anyone here? Hello?  Sadie: (following Whiskers) It’s eerily quiet in here.  Pepper: (entering) There is a very good reason for the quiet. Maybe you should sit down for…

Found: Almost all black male cat near Fireside Inn in Idyllwild. Blue collar. Please call ARF at (951) 659-1122 to identify. Abandoned on the ARF front porch in a cardboard box, alone and afraid, was a beautiful female Maine coon tabby mix we are calling Sweet Pea. A soft mixture of gray, black and white, she will be available soon for adoption. A reminder: It is against the law to abandon your animals. Without a medical record, we have no record of prior vaccinations and rabies shots, which could result in over inoculation.
