Bruce Raynor, 79, of Mountain Center, died Monday, July 14, 2014.

He was born June 15, 1935, in Speonk, Long Island, New York.

For a time, he lived in Connecticut where he was in the construction business.

He and his wife operated Val and Bruce’s General Store in Mountain Center for 22 years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Valerie; a daughter, Cheryl Panainder of Palm Desert; a son, Bruce Raynor Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley McMahon of North Branford, Connecticut; and two brothers, Bob (Betty) Raynor and Richard (Micky) Raynor of Milford, Connecticut.

Private services have been held.
