On a lighter note than most of your recent letters, I want to express appreciation to some groups that have made this summer pretty special. My husband and I attended the opening of “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” presented by the Stratford Players and directed by Marshall Smith. Broadway couldn’t have done it any better than our local talented actors. No one should miss it.
The play was truly entertaining with plenty of laughs.
I also love the new library and the librarians. They have great programs for all ages and are always available to help with books, computers, research or answer any questions. The library is a pleasant place to spend time and it’s all free.
I would also like to acknowledge Idyllwild’s social gathering place, the U.S. Post Office. Each summer we get our mail addressed to General Delivery. No one insists we get a post office box. Instead, they greet us with our mail almost when we walk in. Of course, John always has to make a joke. What service.
It is always a pleasure to return to the Hill.
