Sports: Town Hall Adult Soccer season comes to a close

CHAMPS: Sunday, in a hard-fought championship game for the first season of adult soccer in Idyllwild, team Arriba came from behind 3-2 to win 5-3 in the highly competitive contest with Lumber Mill. The highlights of the game were the two header goals from Javier Castro to make the difference. Earlier in the day, Cafe Aroma finished third and La Casita finished fourth. Idyllwild School Girls close season with first loss
The Idyllwild School Girls basketball team lost their first game of the season yesterday. Noli School beat them 28-18 in the season ending game. Coach Holly Guntermann was pleased with the 8-1 record and is looking forward to next year’s season.
Steele cut at Charles Schwab
Native Idyllwilder Brendan Steele had more trouble last week at the Charles Schwab Challenge on the Colonial Country Club course in Fort Worth. He posted a 12-over par 75-77 — 152 to miss the 36-hole cut by 10. For the two days, he pounded drives averaging 317 yards, but they found fairways only 50 percent…
