

Sports: Town Hall Adult Soccer season comes to a close

CHAMPS: Sunday, in a hard-fought championship game for the first season of adult soccer in Idyllwild, team Arriba came from behind 3-2 to win 5-3 in the highly competitive contest with Lumber Mill. The highlights of the game were the two header goals from Javier Castro to make the difference. Earlier in the day, Cafe Aroma finished third and La Casita finished fourth. On Saturday Oct. 15, two Minor League games were played. The first game was between the Idyllwild Heating and Cooling Bobcats and the American Legion Hurricanes. The game was fast-paced as both teams went up and down the field. Colby Sonnier scored two nice goals for the Bobcats as did Rene Montoya for the Hurricanes.
The second game pitted the Café Aroma Galaxy and the La Casita Ravens. The Galaxy played tough defense as Julia Wangler fought off the Ravens’ attack over and over. The Ravens’ Elie Manchester played a great game while hustling around the field.
