Tomorrow, Thursday, July 28 offers three opportunities to attend special meetings of local public agencies.

At 9 a.m., the Fern Valley Water District’s directors will convene at the District’s office to discuss the approval of purchasing two new trucks for the District.

At noon, the Idyllwild-San Jacinto Regional Fire Authority will meet to amend the IFPD and San Jacinto City resolutions to make it easier for other agencies to join the Fire Authority, according to the memorandum from San Jacinto’s City Manager, Tim Hults.

The City and the District would both have to approve any new member joining the Authority, he wrote in his memorandum to the two boards.

The City does have a contract with Riverside County to provide fire protection services in San Jacinto through June 30, 2017.

Later in the day, either after or before your dinner, depending upon on how early or late you eat, the Idyllwild Water District is reconvening its Pubic Hearing on imposing the water and sewer stand-by fees.

The Public Hearing will begin at 6 p.m. in the IWD boardroom.
